If by "0.999999..." you mean:The limit as x approaches infiniti of 1 - (1/10^x) then ... yeah, sure!Those who disagree also don't believe that you can get from here to there.
Ray's assumption is correct in that I am using "0.999999..." to denote an infinite number of 9's after the decimal point. His nifty formula demonstrates this well.
